Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why?
because I would discover more culture and traditions of the country. For instance, during the Christmas holiday, I was alone in my dormitory because other students came home to celebrate Christmas with their family. If I was housing with a family, I would have the atmosphere of Christmas and its traditions.

Overall
I have travelled a lot and studied abroad for my Bachelors (France and Germany), Masters (The Netherlands, Leiden) and PhD (Belgium, Brussels). Then arrived in Aarhus for a postdoc and it's the only time I regret studying abroad. European citizens are not welcome in Denmark. Copenhagen is very open minded but Aarhus (and the rest of the country which is not the capital city) is not. It's a very car-centred city, and all the clichés you heard about Denmark are false outside of Copenhagen. Coming here was a bad decision.
PS. The winters are loooong.

Pros
The University is well ranked
Cons
The Law Faculty is a disaster and the staff work with exagerated Danish shifts (from 8:00 to 14:00)

It was a bit confusing not to understand danish, but everybody there speaks perfect English so I could easily communicate with everybody. At the campus English was the official language because there were a lot of international students. At the University a lot of the subjects were offered in English.

When I was in Aarhus, I liked to go out on tuesday to the exchange students meeting at Studenterhus. Exchange students usually went out on friday to the social club, and we did a lot of parties at home. There are a lot of cafes in aarhus to take some drinks and they organize activities like quiz.
