“I spend more than a decade in Addis Ababa University (AAU)”
Eyakem F
Russia, Graduate
Social Sciences, 2008
Overall
During my stay at the campus, as a student, I had an opportunity to study in both the social and natural science departments. Frankly speaking, the teachers are outstanding, committed and academically better qualified comparing with the other country teachers what have I get a life practice to study abroad. In the research area, the university makes a lot of inputs. Even the lowest graded research report, have a qualifiable and valuable meaning. Because of high competency, only outstanding students get the opportunity to study in there. In that regard, earning a higher score of other universities would have a very lower score in this university. Its drawback is, due to the lack of materials, most of the programmes are theoretical bases.

“I am a post graduate student of Human Rights Law at Addis Ababa University”
Getu S
Ethiopia, Graduate
Law, 2019
Overall
I took my first degree (LLB) in Law from Addis Ababa University on March 2017 and started my masters on Human Rights Law at the same university on January 2018. I scored highest point on entrance exam for masters. So far I took courses such as UN Human Rights System, Regional Human Rights System, Legal Research Method, International Humanitarian Law and Politics and Philosophy of Human Rights. I'm left only with one semester course and LL.M thesis. I'm highly interested to work on areas relating to refugees, IDPs and children's human rights protection.

Mikiyas K
Ethiopia, Graduate
Language, 2018
Overall
The staff provide an insightful and innovative approach to their individual subject specialisms to provide the best possible learning experience. I found the lessons to be engaging and informative, and the incorporation of academic trips and organized training days, really added great value to the course, whilst allowing us to incorporate what we had learnt into a dynamic real life situation.
