I wonder how there are no negative reviews
Tom G
Cyprus, Undergraduate
, 2018
Overall
I will try to be as brief as possible. Im most certain all reviews here are prompted by the "Promo students" office. I have been one myself. The administration basically makes you write positive reviews in certain websites to boost their marketing. Funny. Hypocrisy at its finest. I am not going to lie, I learned quite a lot. But i did not learn it from teachers (most of them at least). I learned it from books and external sources. This is an organization, where there is hierarchy. Most teachers are douchebags (excuse me for the word, its the most convenient though). Some of them are completely incompetent, but surprisingly have great self-esteem. Well... Great!. Some of them will evaluate you on personal bias, some of them are racist or xenophobic (its visible). By the 4th year you would be actually quite pissed and tired from all this. If you are stubborn enough, go for it. I would personally recommend you to do your best to go to a research university. Hope this comment will be posted... after all it is not as positive as the rest.

Unfortunately, we had no possibility to learn Dutch at school, but many of us, who participate this program, decided to learn Dutch. Regarded I participate a double- degree program at my home university in co-operation with Hogeschool Brabant, at the end of my studies (in 2006), I will receive two diplomas, one from Külkereskedelmi Főiskola, Budapest, and the other from Hogeschool Brabant, Breda. Because of this way of education, in my home university in Budapest, we learn almost every subjects (80% at least) in English language, that is why I had no problems with the language of instruction (English) at my host university.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because I used to live like this, and I really liked it, I had the possibility to meet foreign students ( I shared the appartment with French girls). Besides, I was able to study on my own, when I wanted to, I could arrange my life the way the way it did fit my schedule, at the same time, I was not alone, found great friends this way.

Personal comments
Personally, I was really satisfied with housing. Accomodation Office always helped when we had problems, however, in the first times we had some problems with cleanliness of our appartment (because of previous students living there). All in all, I can say it was a good experience.

Overall
I am a second-year student International Business and Languages. I learn about marketing, sales, economics and management but also develop my languages, English, French and Spanish. Although I think I could be better in French and English, if they would teach us more and about useful subject.
I can say I am also developing as a person, learning to be more independent and working in teams.

It's not worth using the busses. A second-hand bike is a must! But often they get stolen.
