Winter, snow and rain in Istanbul gives wet feet and a depressed mood. Make sure you have rainproof boots! However, if you want to travel outside of Istanbul you better learn the language.

Improve the registration process and make it more streamlined for exchange students so they do not have to get approvals from professors for each class.

Travel to the Black Sea region and the Anatolian region. Look for apartments in Şişli and Levent - you may be able to walk home from the University instead of sitting on the bus in the middle of İstanbul's unbearable traffic.
