Save money, rental are very expensives in Boston. As when sharing with romates, you are not alone and can have the support from someone knowing the city.

On campus housing is only for ndergrad.
Off campus is expensive and can be far away from Boston College (in Brighton), which is annoying because the Tramway line doesn't go every where so you need a car.

Almost all clubs are on the same street which name I can't remember now. Modern Embassy is great when there is Intercultural night (attention : 21 +)

I wish I had known...
You need a plug converter from 110 to 230 V. If your appliance is more than 50W in power, there is chance that the adaptator is more expensive than the appliance itself.

Try o make savings before to come and plan to spend it here. It is a shame to miss things because of budget. (you can work on campus, even if you are foreigner)

Boston is an expensive city. For instance, I pay twice as much for milk or clubs. $ is a good currency compared to French Francs. My daily expenditure (everything included : rental, food, ..) is twice as much as when I was in Bordeaux.
