Most of the big nightclubs are outside the city so you need a car to get there. In the city, we were most of the time either in club jamaica or in Atmosphere, where the owner knew us quite well after the semester...An event one should not miss is the student board campaign usually in March or April. It consists of two separate groups that are applying for the student board positions and are trying to get people at their side by organizing parties and different kinds of events. I can assure that it was the most fun I had during my stay!

Logement
Type de logement: Appartement/maison
Organisé par: Indépenant - choix personnel
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison
Pourquoi?
In general, the cost of living is reasonably cheap, my apartment was quite big so I had to pay a little more than many others. Also, there are enough apartments for exchange students so they will find a place to stay easily even though they would have to search for it independently

Recommandations de cours
Nothing particular. I did 3rd year courses which are concentrated on your major and there is not much room to choose from after you have chosen your field.

I had been studying french for a long time but this year improved it more than the previous years combined. Not only did I learn the business vocabulary but also the everyday slang that french people use very much in their conversations. It was a great experience from the language point of view!

Si j'avais su
Nothing of big importance. I wish I had come a little earlier so I would have had the possibility to get an apartment closer to school. I came in the end of August and I should have come maybe 2 weeks earlier.

Recommandation personnelle
It is a very small business school and thus the atmosphere in the school is very much like in high school, not at all like in big universities. This is something that divides opinions, but for me it was great as it was easy to get to know people and to get integrated to the school. I would definitely recommend it for someone who wants to learn the language and get to know the culture. For academic reasons, I might go somewhere else.

I experienced a great year all in all and so did most of the other exchange students. Dijon is a very nice small city that is perfectly located for traveling and yet has much to offer itself. It is a very french city, much more than the cosmopolitan Paris or the southern cities of Marseille or Nice.

Housing is cheaper in general than in Helsinki, where I live. Traveling has a lot to offer for someone who comes from Finland. Dijon is very well located as it is close to Paris, Lyon, Switzerland and many other interesting places.

There is a very weird housing tax that is collected from the tenants that surprised us and that we thought was illegal but in the end it we found out that it is a common procedure in France.
