nearly all of my lecturers have been willing to help one on one with any problems i've had. this has made a difficult transition (coming from a non-technical background into a postgraduate course in information technology) less mystifying.

Final comments
take advantage of the services offered to students by the university, to me they seem to be more and varied here as opposed to universities in america. and get a car, campus is 11k from town.
