Most universities allow you to teach english as a student. You can make anywhere from $30-50 an hour doing this. Try not to eat out a lot and keep your partying to a minimum(3 nights a week) and you should be alright

It was awesome but in retrospect I probably should have studied more. But I travelled a lot and I think that is a better education.

Because Japanese was not taught at my school, I'm satisfied with what I learned. I feel if I had one more year, I could learn even more. You'll be surprised at how much you absorb no matter what your language level is.
