I do recomend to come to Montreal to study something because you can learn both languajes French and English here and you can choose the University depending on which languaje you want to make the course in. It is very easy here to find an apartment, and it is a very international city so you can meet people easily. The only problem is the weather, it is very cold. In general, it was very positive for me to come here.

To renovate the buildings. Esthetically, the University requires imorovement and in return, this will certainly motivate students to study more as they will that they are in a modern environment.

Concordia is a grat University and is very well worth the trip for International students, particularly those interested in studying business or engineering. These areas are the University's areas of expertise. Further, Montreal is an exciting city full of diversity and is an important business center. The public transportation system is very developped and the residents are very helpful. These are all factors that make attending Concordia University beneficial. -Make use to the train or metro to get around town. Buy a montly bus pass. This will allow you to go all over town for a fixed rate. -Dress up during winter! It gets really cold. Don't forget to bring your skates and skis. There are plenty of winter activities to be performed. During the hot, humid summers, there are many public swimming pools throughout the city.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Appartements are quite inexpensive in Montreal even if prices are increasing a lot every year. If you want to meet people and spare money, choose a shared appartements, they are very popular here.

I would advice you not to live in the students' rooms offered by Concordia because of three reasons : you will have to share them, they are quite expensive (in comparison with the appartements) and you'll have to leave near Loyola Campus (lost, very far from downtown and the other campus of Concordia)

I went to Concordia University to take my specialization courses in International Relations. I wanted to perfect my English skills and to discover an English speaking teaching environment. I had a great experience there. The professors in the area I studied are very competent and there are a lot of International students who study there so it is a great place to meet people from different cultures.

In class i have some dificulties, since most of my classmates were form Asia, and middleast were the languages are so, diferent that it was dificult to understan them, not to metion the different mentality. in general, they were very shy, and well in Mexico the class atmosphere is very different and everyone in general are social, and talkative, so there i had the rol of the one who always started and mantain the conversation, which was a litlle dificult since i never had to, but i think i handle it pretty well, and I learn to be discreat, because being amog students from all over the world, with different belifs, traditions, maners, it was a very interesting experience

Summary of my experience at Concordia University
Manu A
Canada,
Engineering, Technology, 2023
Overall
I'm a graduate student in Concordia University, studying Information Security currently. I've recently joined the university in Summer term, that is May'22 and my experience till now has been fairly positive in terms of studies and professors, facilities provided to students be it technical help, big library, help with on-campus jobs and also with searching home or even getting cheaper grocery.

Pros
I believe the good infrastructure spreading around the whole downtown Montreal is really good. They've a library just near one of the busiest squares in Montreal which is open to everyone throughout the day, which is really good.
Cons
In my opinion, there are so many services provided by the university that many of the students, especially international students are highly unaware about them. I think a regular newsletter or a monthly physical conference would be really good.
