Before you go out to clubs, go get beer at a grocery store and pound at home. Saves mucho dinero. Also, stay away from the touristy areas. Buy your food at the grocery store, don't eat out all the time. Ask Danes where they eat.

Expect to get reamed a few times on exchange rates. Things are more expensive in CPH so you have to be smart. Cook at home, drink at home then go out, get a Danish girlfriend (highly recommend).

Some of the smaller "Immigrant" shops are sometimes cheaper. During the first few weeks, you should compare various markets. Drinking at home and going out is cheaper than going out and drinking in cafes.

Housing is more expensive, but it's a capital city. Food is also a little bit more expensive, but you can find diffenrent types or shops for that (Netto is one of the less expensive for instance)

Borrow books at you're own library at home, take them with you. They will be overtime sure, but the fine is far less than buying books in Denmark. Don't go out, saves great money (not recommendable though

The cost of living can be quite high, however, the longer you are there you realise the more affordable supermarkets etc.. I spent a lot more in my first couple of months.

Alcohol is seriously expensive! Also, buy a travel pass as you save a lot of money. Mobile phone top up cards are also really expensive, might be worth considering taking your home mobile on roaming.
