To welcome friends and family in host country, to be autonomous and deal with housing by your own, and to chose the place convenient enough.

I have no regrets about the choice I made of finding by my own, but housing is very difficult in Denmark and it has been troublesome to find something. Indeed, short term renting period, non speaking native language, without permit official papers yet, are problems to taken into account.

more chances to meet locals, i.e. Danes and easier to take part in university activities

accommodation office does a good job, but the places differ a lot and there is no chance to choose, "you get what you get", some places are quite far out

I had asked for a room in the campus also the first time but it was not possible to have one.I've never lived in a campus and would like to do this experience.
