I wish I had known...
No - I think it's a good opportunity to become more independent and self-confident, if one has to find out everything on his own.

Don't get frustrated if you face some problems at the beginning (you will for sure!). Everything will work out in the end and there's always someone, who will help you and give advice.

International students, who come to Ireland, should take the opportunity to travel as much as possible. One shouldn't leave the country without having seen Galway, Belfast, the Cliffs of Mohair, the Burren, the Ring of Kerry, Connemara - and of course every corner of Dublin.

it's very important with who you've in contact, if you live in a shared appartment try to get foreign roommates and try to get in contact with other foreign students and local ones, anyway teachers aren't difficult to understand in contrast to classmates, this can turn out to be a good guess

Before coming to study here I would suggest everyone to familiarize with accomodation conditions. I would also recommend to get into contact with some students who were studying at this college before, in order to get some tips.

Academic
Course recommendations
take the inconvenience to choose courses by yourself out of various years and timetables; can be very nerved because support by the person who is responsible for you is not always granted, all in all it isn't too difficult to take place in the courses and exams

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Mostly no rooms on campus are offered in Dublin. As far as I know only UCD offers campus rooms. living in a family can be very expensive and restrictive. better get used to share a room with 1 or 2, bcause rents are extremly high and room sharing is very usual.
