The good thing about going to ESADE is that everything takes place in Spanish. The local students are eager to get to know new people, and they give us the opportunity to really practice and learn the language.

It is possible to chose courses in english, but the majority of courses are in spanish. But they are quite easy to follow since all the professors are very attentive towards the foreign students.

The chance to learn the language was my number one factor in choosing to come to Spain. I loved being able to use it on an everyday basis and seeing my Spanish improve throughout the exchange.

Knowledge of Spanish (and ideally Catalan) is VERY helpful when going to Barcelona although not necessary. I did find there were fewer bilingual locals than at other large European cities.
