The catalan people speak within themselves catalan, but this was not a problem as everybody speaks spanish as well and courses were for the exchange students in eiteher spanish or english.

One of the most important reasons to choose Spain, and ESADE has a very good language training center, where we perfectionated our castellano before starting the real academic courses.

My Spanish was quite good before I came to ESADE, but while in Cataluña it reached a new level as a result of taking courses in Spanish and learning quite a bit of slang over time.

You have to watch out not to speak in English all the time with other students in order to learn the language better.

It is very much up to your self offcourse to learn the langusge, as all international students speak engligh together.

Good language program at ESADE. Possible to speak local (castellano)language eventhough local language is catalan.
