The residence I was staying in was unfortanutely not in the best part of town and was somehow dangerous at night. However, the facilites were always clean, the rooms were spacious and the people nice.

In the suburb were I lived by the School (Cergy Pontoisse) my favourite place to chill was the O´Sullivans Irish Pub. However, choices around there were limited. As for Paris, alternatives are many, from the huge Locomotive discotheque to great restaurants in Nôtre Dame and quieter bars around Moulin Rouge.

Academic
Course recommendations
My International Marketing course was certainly the best marketing class I´ve ever had. Control de Gestion was somehow too little oriented to International students since it strictly followed French accountancy rules.

Personal spending habits
Paris is certainly an expensive city, way more expensive than Madrid. Also, since in Madrid I lived in my parents´house, food and accommodation are free. However, telephone expenses were not that high since I already lived with most of my friends and at school yo could meet everyday with everybody without the need of calling ahead.

Don´t get too carried away by "Paris la Nuit". You can have a great night but it can also empty your pockets! And never have a Coke in any of the terraces in Champs Elyssees

Although i have spent many summers in France since I was little and also studied French for many years at school, the fact of having it as my instruction language became a real challenge for me. In the end, I can say that I had no complicated situations with not coping well with the language and that my progress, I hope, is obvious.

Personal recommendation
I think that, although they had great teachers and resources for all the courses, they still need some more organization in their staff in charge of administrative tasks. It is sometimes uneasy for International students to see that your transcript has been misplaced or that your courses are mistaken.

Final comments
I really encourage anybody with the opportunity to study in this School. Academically, it was top and facilities amazing. Also, there are parties for international students every week and there is even a bar inside the university!!!
