Personal comments
When I arrived I was offered help with finding housing, however I knew some friends so it was no problem for me to stay with them for a while. Additionaly, I found no problem to look for a room by myself - there is enough supply.

In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
It is great university for those who care more about academic achievements rather than social engagement. This is tipical university town, so there is not so much to do unless you are prepared to travel to Stuttgart (around 40km). But the atmosphere for studying is great.

Final comments
The most important thing is to speak at least a little bit German. Although university staff is very friendly and speaks English, outside of the university only German is spoken. Although there is not much sightseeing in Tuebingen it is quite conveniently situated not far from other cities. Also it is not very far from Switzerland and many students go there for a weekend. If there is a chance it is better to rent a room/flat individually since dorms are quite noisy. In case there are no rooms in Tuebingen itself, other towns like nuertingen are worth to have a look. The train fares are quite expensive but comfortable and fast.

the overall experience is very good. Although German language is quite difficult language to learn, but student life, a range of social events and venues help a lot. Also teachers and administrative staff are very helpful and pleasant.
