In general, it is a very good university. For international students it is very important to know your rights and to fight for them.

I wish I had known...
Studing at Rotterdam is a trade off between the quality of Erasmus and the boring of the student life there. It is a very good university but may be it is not the most nice place on the world.

Think twice if you are going there only for having fun and a good international experience, maybe you can find a better place in this sence. BUT if you are looking a first class university doesnt matter what it takes, go.

I will recommend it as it gives you a chance to do your own stuff. I wanted academic fulfilment as well so i persuaded the staff to give me two curses instead of the mandatory one. I also managed enough time to travel.

Countless opportunities all around the place appearing daily
Daria Y
Netherlands,
Communication and Information Sciences, 2025
Overall
The campus is the best, spacious, with plenty of study places, silent and group project rooms, a library, a gym, and cafes. Relationships between students and teachers are close and friendly, you can easily ask questions anytime, yet professional. t
The environment is very accepting and safe! The university itself really cares about its students so they improve every year the educational system, and facilities (for example introducing meditation capsules, massage chairs, and psychologists available for you), they also host many events to create socializing opportunities for students ranging from festivals to Student Wellbeing Weeks.
