Stay out of the central part of town if you don't want to spent loads of money. The southern (Navigli) and northern (Brera) parts of town are cheaper and much more 'real' Italian.

Final comments
Do not apply to this university, as they require low marks, and their website seems professional, but they are not licensed to teach in Italy and to give diplomas which are recognized somewhere except for homeless shelter.

The campus once offered its own club/bar (I think this doesn't exist anymore) which I always enjoyed. The area around the campus is appropriate for the student's life and is particularly interesting for those like me who appreciate fashion and design.
