although in this part of austria people tend to have strong accent, thay can speak normal german as well. So it wasn't big deal to understand.

Although Urdu is the native language but English is the language used in institutions and most of the government/non-government offices.

I have the feeling life is cheaper then in the Netherlands. I had a special pre-paid card at Telering which aloud you to call between 20:00 till 7:00 for free. Travel a bit more, since I made use of the central position of Austria and travelled to Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Hungary and ofcourse within Austria!

the 24-7 access to the building makes sure that it is not needed to have an connection at home. Traveling with the train is cheap. No text books are needed, all it provided in powerpoint or in hand-outs (saves a lot of money)
