In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
It's not very common for this university to take on 'exchange students'. And also because it is a small university on a small island it can be tedious to organise. It probably works best if you know someone there who can help make enquiries etc. It's very academic and because it is a small university there is not much variety in the course. If you just want to do a course there to improve your French, it could be good, actually passing the degrees gets a bit more complicated.

Final comments
The advantage of going to this university in Noumea is that for Australians,it's not far to travel in order to get access to French culture and language. The excellent all year round climate is also an advantage.
The only way to really enjoy your time there is if you know someone living on the island.
Most of the students also take their studies very seriously and devote a lot of time to studying and homework. If you're just afer a good time it may get a little frustrating.

“Licence de droit en Nouvell-Calédonie”
Emeline L
France, Undergraduate
, 2018
Overall
