Cafe I liked most was "Smula", "Cafe Garbo" and the cafes in "Haga" - the old street in town.
For going out there is are plenty of different types of discos/bars/pubs. I would recommend to go on www.alltomgoteborg.se

Try everything, experience all the quarters - whole of gothenburg is great!

Cafe Olof, at university campus! Definetely the best spot to meet and find new friends! An event not to be missed is clearly the afterwork parties, on Friday's afternoons. There, you can easily connect both with local and student communities all across the town.

I loved the Havana Bar, XLNT nightclub and Vahland. I ate at so many great places, but have unfortunately forgotton the names.
