Easy to communicate as there is not much slang. However the Goldcoasters love if you learn some of their local words, such as use sossage instead of hot dog.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
You have more choices than living on campus and its cheaper. More flexible like you live right in town. If you want to live even cheaper, you should look for houses in suburbs out of Surfers Paradise.
