I think my Erasmus has been the best decision I ever made in my life. I have had the opportunity to improve two languages in my abroad. French, local language and English, academic language. To me, speaking foreign languages is one of the most important things for my future career.

I did my undergraduate studies in Accounting and Finance at ESSEC Douala, one of the best business schools in my country.
I am currently enrolled in a master degree in management, specialized in  Financial Analysis and audit at HEC Liege.  Professional courses like Audit, IFRS and consolidation, Corporate Finance are being taught by professionals, respectively Yves Francis, Patrice Schumesch and Marie Lambert.

I am equally preparing my end of course dissertation on the topic: FINANCIAL REPORTING UNDER IFRS IN THE COVID 19 ERA, supervised by Patrice Schumesch.

The Residence Ruhl had a great location, but unfortunately its standard was disappointing. However, since there were so many exchange students, it was a great place to make friends and live in.

Concerning my language skills I benefited greatly from my stay in Belgium. Most of my courses were in English, and this was the language I used most with other Erasmus students. But in everyday life I had to speak French, also with my room mates who hardly spoke English. That's why I gained the ease and fluency in speaking French and learnt lots of useful, everyday phrases. What's more, speaking English a lot with my friends and having courses in this language I improved it at both casual and formal level, and also enriched my vocabulary by marketing and economical terms.
