The experience at poeldijkstraat the aparmetn location was a live changin one. The academic studies qhere also ok. Take advantage of both and travel around Holland.

Always book your train fare at least 3 weeks in advance to get the cheaper prices.

Final comments
Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities on this planet. You must visit the festivals if you will be there in the summer time. Amsterdamīs centre is not very big-that is why a bike is a very good way to save travel expenses. Besides everyone goes by bike in Amsterdam-it`s easy to get one there.

I wish I had known...
The HES is not a good school. There were no resources and you were pretty much on your own. You might as well have been attending home school, it was a waste of time. Other than the school the expereince was awesome. Be prepared to meet people from all over the world. Also buy a bike ASAP, you won't regret it!

buy a bike, you can't live in Amsterdam and not have one, and enjoy your time.
