Well, going out in Reykjavík is easy, since everything happens on the main street Laugavegur; there, all the bars are next to one another, which makes it easy to switch. My favs were 22, 11, Kaffibarinn and Sirkus.

Nightlife in Reykjavik only exists on Fridays and Saturdays but is not to be missed!!! Everything happens on/near Laugarvegur and Austurstræti, best places are 11, Sirkus, Oliver, Kaffibarinn and Prikið

Renting a room with a family can be increadible expensive. If you can find someone to rent an appartment with it will probably be a lot cheaper.

The International office gave me a lot of help when I was looking for a place to stay which was really nice. The place I finally found was not so good but it was OK.
