Local language is french or dutch. but everybody speak also english, thatswhy nobody need french realy.

If you like culture, Brussels is the place to be to discover many things: music, art a lot of concerts and a lot of artistical events.

it's worth coming a bit earlier to visit the city and feel better, and also don't leave just after exams (you will loose the best parties and last meetings with your friends if you do so!)
