Personal recommendation
A wonderful experience. Teachers who will spend their time happily to help you and a very friendly encouraging atmosphere. Good music facilities and many useful opportunities with the possibility of joining any class you want and workshops. However, generally bad organisation at the college.

People will always help you if you ask. Try everything once, get a bike and be careful with it - there are sometimes different rules for who has the right of way.

“The good, the bad and everything else”

Overall
Saxion takes great pride in improving the university every year. Talking about the buildings, there is absolutely nothing to complain about, the rooms are great, IT Infrastructure is great and the overall style is very pleasant.
Teachers do a good job of teaching practical approaches to business. Although some teacher might not fully fulfill this idea.

Languages
Language of instruction: Dutch
Was learning Dutch a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Dutch
How much did you improve your Dutch?
My level before: Did not speak it
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
At first very difficult to learn. I had to push to get any lessons, and the Dutch have a very high level of English which they want to use (either to help you or to improve their English). It was frustrating at first although very rewarding. At the end I felt completely at ease and pretty fluent in social situations and enjoyed learning the language.

Get a discount card for the trains as soon as you arrive to The Netherlands. It can save you a lot of money.
