Food and accomodation were definitely cheaper, I can't tell you why, it's just a function of the German economy. It is also fairly well known that Deutsche Telecomm are expensive, plus nearly all my calls were international, so ....
Everything else seemed about the same.

Cookies (EXCELLENT club), and Greenwhich (EXCELLENT bar). Ost Gut (club) is a little shocking, but MUST be seen. The Panorma bar is inside the same building, and also worth a visit. Techno freaks can go to Tresor, I didnt. Its all so darn cheap, like London priced in Lira!

Housing is less expensive: Berlin is a town where at the moment renting is not really a bussines. I spent in food quite the same as at home, but the quality was a little bit lower.

Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Since I just rented a room in a appartment, if I were to go back I would want my own appartment. I did have full run of the appartment, but I think it would be better to have my own place.

The opportunity for travel was greater so I had too spend more and take advantage of being abroad. I to use the telephone as little as possible because of outrageous charges.

Academic
Course recommendations
More diversity is needed. There was overlap in a great deal of the courses, which is good, however, sometimes there was just too much overlap.

Personal comments
There was too much work lumped together. The workload needs to be more evenly distribueted throughout the semester.
