Course recommendations
Courses are pretty good minus the fact that a few lecturers have poor knowledge of the English language.
Lecturers are very straightforward people. They prefer students who show interest. Sometimes the quality of teaching is proportionate to the interest of students. Lecturers will ignore students who show lack of interest.

Master the Russian language and almost everything will be smooth sailing from there (regardless of whether the course is English or Russian).
Russians don't mind or even appreciate feedback and questions from their students. You can even argue with the lecturers and they would expect it.

Overall
I wish I had known...
There is a huge Malaysian community in Moscow. For Malaysians who want to break out of the society, it would be better to join the Russian course - there are more chances to meet Russian and other international students.
Russian mentality is that of the post-Soviet times. People coming from developed countries like US, UK would definitely experience culture shock.

Everything is based on self-effort. If you are easily influenced by others and have no patience for learning Russian or adapting to the Russian culture, it's best not to come to Russia.

Russian is an easier language to learn than English. But for native English speakers, it might take a while to grasp the general concept. Its basics are pretty similar to other European languages like French.
Most Russians don't speak English so it might be difficult initially to get your point across. But Russians are generally good-natured(although they look unfriendly) and as long as you show interest in them or their language, it's pretty easy to make Russian friends.
Learning Russian is crucial for clinical years. Russian patients usually don't speak English.

its o.k. but just hav to travel a lot from on eplace to another. for different subject have to take a metro,then a bus , then walk sometimes.but the hostel service is good. they always check if we have any problems. one more thing, we all paid the same amount for 3 sitter room but each and every one gets a different room size & shape.

Overall
The teachers speak good english as my course is in english , they are supportive even if you ask for some extra help or practical classes , doubt solving sessions are conducted.The viva exams actually help us a lot with building confidence and good verbal skills, presentations are conducted which help us understand things better with graphics.

bring in teachers from countries like india so that the foreign student will not have problems with the language. the local russian teachers should attend english language classes rather than telling us that we should have known russian well as we paid for english medium.
