At the beginning it was really hard to understand some teacher, I couldn't even take notes becaus e I didn't know how to spell the words. But by the time it was getting easier and finally I coul participate activly in class discussions.
I would have liked to be informed by the Spanish way of LEARNING. It is like memorizing and has nothing in common with applying your knowledge.

To study at ICADE was a good experience because it wasn't only sun and fun as most of the people expect if you tell them that you've studied in Spain. It was more like learning self-discipline, hard working and not very much free time. But nevertheless the Spanish people know how to live. And I am very thankfull for making this experience. After half of a year hating Spain, in the left 1,5 years I got to know how to love it.

- el barrio Malasania for "alternative" people who like atmosphere of night cafes and bars (typical "espanisch")
- palacio de gaviria for those who want to get to know ather foreign students
- plaza santa ana (dominated by foreigners)
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: Appartement/maison

because you're more independ and I got to know a lot of other foreign students.

They try their best, but the market situation in Madrid is very difficult. (there is a much higher demand than offer) so that the university can hardly do anything. They just can count on the help of other students.
