I think they are well organized and already do a great job. They need to expand the computer lab because there are too many kids in the program.

Final comments
Using low cost airfares is a great way to get around, and learning the metro system is essential but easy7.

Academic
Course recommendations
The Spanish language courses have the most dynamic teachers and most interested material. Taking architecture is in my opinion mandatory because there is so much within walking distance to see and learn about that can't be found anywhere else in the world. Modernisn in Architecture in Design was one of my favorites.

Personal comments
This was my favorite aspect. Being able to communicate in Spanish was the most exhilarating experience. I felt I truly accomplished something outside of my courses. I learned so much in such a short period of time simply by walking around the city I will be able to use it for the rest of my life.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I had the freedom to explore the city because of location and the independence that comes with living in an apartment. I loved the apartment I had, and felt very at home there. I also enjoyed making friends with the other inhabitants of the apartment building.

Personal comments
There are many options for housing including homestays, dorms, and apartments. The dorms are not preferred and are extremely small and filled mainly with American students which decreases opportunities for immersing yourself in the culture. The other two options are non-limiting.

Anywhere along the beach is fabulous and Carpe Diem is definitely a hot spot for students abroad. Oveja Negra is a catch-all bar for travellers, and Monjuic is my favorite place to go running. Bar Galicia right up the corner is my favorite bar, the people who work there are friendly neighbors and since its a block away it is our local spot. Discoteque is the best club located on Monjuic.
