IIUM is not a great place to be. The office and departments are difficult to navigate and their staffs are not as helpful as you think. 

For an Islamic university, the cleanliness of its campus is not met to standard. I am staying in their dorms and with disappointment, everything there was not up to hygienic standards, especially in a pandemic. 

The university does not overlook the importance of comfort and safety for its students. Their system is outdated and the professors here do not have the ingenuity to teach the students. This is a university where students come here to learn and not answer you're pathetic questions. 

As of right now, online classes are the main system to teach students during a pandemic. IIUM has a website called I'Taleem for online classes which are well designed. However, with now regulation applied to the professors, we are forced to use other platforms such as Whatsapp, Telegram, Google Classroom, and Zoom Call. They do not have one platform for students to rely on and unable students to correctly communicate with their professors and classmates. 

Overall, IIUM is not very impressive for a University with a high ranking within the country. Even niche universities have a better system than IIUM, which is backed up by the government. As such, do not go to this university, I myself have made a mistake and regret my choice. You have many other options than this self-proclaim "best" university.
