My language skills really improved during my exchange time. However, I must admit that even after my four and a half months exchange period I don´t fully understand local people. The dialect is horrible!!

Well, as I said before, it's only 2 months I'm here, and I started the scholl only since 3 weeks! But yes, the 1st month was horrible, because I didn't speak A WORD!!! After only 3 weeks of school, I already feel much more confident, and I'm very optimistic in speaking soon!

The slang was a little difficult to understand at first, but once you get the basic patterns of differences between north German and Steirischdeutsch, it becomes easier.

There are some local diffrences between Austria and, let's say Germany, but the teachers are very helpful and fully aware of that there may be foreign students attending and thereafter ajust the language.

I was surprised how well I could adjust to the language and the dialect. At the end of my stay I felt myself really relaxed and didn´t notice anymore that I was studying in a foreign language!!!!

German is a pretty hard language for me, but it's really good to be stay in Austria for a while if you want to become fluent in German...
