Take warm clothes with you, especially if you are going in the winter, Kokkola will be very cold! So be prepared, you will enjoy the beautiful country better!

Sokos Hotel has the best nightlife, other pubs etc will probably have changed hands by now - Punainen Luhtu (spelling?) had a Guiness if you were feeling home sick

The accomodation is really cheap and offers you a lot, like a large bedroom, kitchen en bathroom as well as a sauna in the neighbourhood!

Favorite night spots: Chess bar and Suerahone.. Best cafe:Corners, Events: midsummer festival and the 1st of may celebrations. Places not to be missed: a beautiful hike along the coast
