There are so many international citizens in London, that it is very unlikely that you'll experience true British culture.

Personal recommendation
The buildlings in the university are falling apart and are unhygienic. However, the residence halls are adequate and the staff at the halls is nice, too. The students don't seem to care much about a student community, and most of them are apathetic in their studies. Just concentrate on the work and soaking it all in, and you'll be fine.

“Good Course, Average Teaching, Bad Support”

Overall
The courses offered at Kingston are varied and my current course (biomedical science) is accredited with the royal society of biology.. The modules offered are good and the course content is generally well covered. However, the teaching could be improved with some lecturers being much better at teaching than others. I would say the quality is average. They are not bad but not great either (with the exceptions of a few amazing lecturers - Dr Natasha Hill for example) The support system is lacking as those with mental health issues or disabilities often feel overlooked and do not know where to go for help. The lecturers do not read the summary of support needs and often fail to provide the support required/offered in the report.

If you need to find a job that will provide you extra cash, search for it in Easter. Many students who work at restaurants and bars in Kingston go back to their home towns during that vacation period.

- it is just the best thing one can ever do, to go abroad
- it offers the best possibility how to improve language and learn more about the host culture
- I have met so many international students and we had really fun together,
with the majority am I still in contact
- everybody will benefit also privately from this stay
