Why?
Living in a kollegium gives you a chance to interact and make friends with the Danes, something that most exchange students aren't able to accomplish. However, kollegium conditions and costs vary a lot between buildings so do your research!

Because apartments are incredibly expensive, and you get to live with others. ie. not so lonely!

It was so hard for many students to find housing in Copenhagen. I was lucky to be put in a dorm, but there were many who had to rent a room from middle aged singletons whom would not let the stuents use certain parts of the house ie. t.v, coach, cupboards. Was very restrictive.

Personal comments
As I was living with my own family my situation does not apply, but in general it is very difficult to find student accomondation in Copenhagen. The waiting lists are long for dormitories as well as flats.

Copenhagen is up till late night, and on campus you really can't miss a party. Plus a lot of nice people all the time ready to help you.
