Travelling to the deep South, to the bayou, allowed us to get in contact with sensational nature and great preservation efforts to keep the fragile enviroment of the swamps and the bayou.

don't be afraid to mix with the locals, i have met some of the most amazing wonderful people in baton rouge, many of whom will stay with me for the rest of my life. Make it down to new orleans as often as possible and have lots of fun.

Dorms are not ideal when you are already used to live by your own, and share a room with someone you don't know may turn to a nightmare. Apart from that, there is no way to feel at home, it is always noisy and not very clean sometimes. The good point is that you are never alone, and you will find plenty of opportunities to meet new people. Up to you, if you are about to start the university, it may be a good choice to live in a dorm for 1 year or 2.

JUST DO IT!!! It is certainly one of the greatest experience ever! If you have a girlfriend, it may be a difficult choice, but you are young and have to take opportunities sometimes...that may change your life, or at least make it magic during 1 or 2 semesters!!!

GO to walmart, dont be afraid of meeting american people, they are really open to everyone.

the best bar was the bayou but it has sadly burnt down...the caterie was good for bands, the chimes for food, chelseas for table football...and there was another bar whose name i forget maybe something moon..well its on highland road and all good bands play there!...don't miss The Kenmores..fantastic local band!..stick around the chimes street area.
