louisiana is the gem in the crown of the united states...great food, great people, great atmosphere, culture, nightlife etc ...new orleans is an amazing place and you will find that baton rouge hides many wonderful secrets.

don't be afraid to mix with the locals, i have met some of the most amazing wonderful people in baton rouge, many of whom will stay with me for the rest of my life. Make it down to new orleans as often as possible and have lots of fun.

Why?
dorms were rigid in their rules, i was warned well beforehand and got an apartment with a friend. It was pretty cheap and although a little bit ghetto it was the best decision.

the best bar was the bayou but it has sadly burnt down...the caterie was good for bands, the chimes for food, chelseas for table football...and there was another bar whose name i forget maybe something moon..well its on highland road and all good bands play there!...don't miss The Kenmores..fantastic local band!..stick around the chimes street area.
