LURC people, wich takes care of you when you arrive, organise lots of trips (Storforsen, Santa Claus' Village on Finland, etc.). But take a look at the STIL (sport association) because they also offer some (Orca Safari's Trip in Norway, Skiing trips, etc.)

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It is really close to the University (5/10 minutes) and I really enjoyed sharing a flat with 3 other people of different nationalities.

If you are to study for one or two semesters in Lulea, ask to be in Vänortsvägen, it is the closest and far best housing near the University.

Personal comments
If you are here only for one semester, try to choose the first one because the first two weeks (start mid-august) are integration weeks (Nolleperioden) and they are the best way to have fun and to meet other people!
For the nightlife, Kåren (the university's nightclub) is not bad but you better take a cab to go downtown at Cleo (open all the year) or Grace (open only during summer).
