At the beginning, you can feel embarrassed by some situations where you can be blocked by a simple word. When you begin to fauth you more and to really improve the language, it is a very exiting experience.

There are three "local" languages: French, Luxembourgish, and German. I spoke fluent French upon departing Luxembourg, however I was barely exposed to the other 2 languages on a one to one basis.

In Oxford, most of parties are organised in someone's house. I will recomanded an appartment upstair the coffe buzz where it is a very artistic atmosphere. For dancing, the Stadium is not too bad

I liked living with a host family because I felt like I was more apart of the Luxembourg culture. Also, they only spoke to me in French, which significantly helped my language fluency.

favourite bars: attractions, first run, very nive places to go, unfortunately only open until 2 o c'clock, afterwards students usually go to some students' house or room parties
