I didn't really have much of a problem as most people speak English, but I suppose if they didn't it may have forced me to learn more of the language, which might also have been beneficial.

Learning Finish was quite difficult and unfortunately I didn't learn a lot. It would have been easier to study in an english speaking country. Knowing the language is pretty important.
