If the discos around Suecia are your thing, enjoy. Otherwise, start your search in Bellavista, look for posters etc. to find more "niche" places, e.g. drum'n bass, reggae..

it has been said that chilean spanish is difficult. however, i now know that i could understand spanish anywhere after grasping the chilean accent.

We had useful grammar classes and the fact that all the lectures where in spanish was useful. Living with a family also gave me additional practice.
