Sometimes i had troubles with writing an essay...but there is writing center where you can make an appointment and someone will go over your work and correct it. There are also different classes that you can take on your own time in order to improve your language skills. Sometimes i also had problems communicating with Canadians....at first it was much easier for me to hang out with international students...they were more open i guess and did not care if i made any mistakes while talking. But after a year i was comfortable among canadians as well.

English, my native language, was the main language of the host country and the university so there were never any difficulties.

The only difficulty I experienced was participating in class but it's partly because we are not used to doing it in France. Overall, people were kind and I didn't have any communication problem in my everyday life.

No problem as English is my native language, and Canadian culture is similar to Australian.
