Before comming to UK, although I was comfortable in spaeaking and understanding English. But after arriving here I realised that the way native prople speak is entirely differnet and at beginnig I had difficulties in listening. But by and by I overcome this. Now I have improved my speaking skills especially exten pretty much in one year.

Having attended an international school during middle and high school in Singapore (with the language of instruction being English), my primary aim of choosing to study abroad in the UK was not so much to improve my language skills but to rather experience the British student life.

Well, it's London. They speak English there. Though the accent was a bit hard to understand at first. Having an American accent was annoying after a while because people sometimes assume you're just a dumb tourist. But overall, it was not a big deal.
