Personal spending habits
I considered my year studying abroad as a once-in-a-lifetime experience and so did not consider the financial implications of my activities as much as I might have done at home. My main expense came from travelling, as I took advantage of being on the European mainland. I do not regret spending more on my year abroad, as I had an incredible year and have benefitted enormously in so many ways.

Personal comments
Apply for your CAF (government grant to students) early. I received 150 Euros a month from the French government, which helped a great deal with my rent. A lot of money can be saved by buying as much as you can from the local market rather than supermarkets, and food is often of a much higher quality too. I didn't have too many financial surprises. Travel was a lot cheaper than expected: a student railcard can save you 50% on domestic and international travel. The only negative surprise I had was my English mobile phone bill. Even if you do not use your phone you are charged everytime somebody leaves a message on your voicemail. I would recommend leaving any English mobile phones at home and getting a French phone when you arrive.

Overall
First of all, the school is very welcoming and has a warm atmosphere. This is probably due to the fact that a little bit more than the half of students on the campus are strangers and plan on making new friends and creating opportunities. Although the main study topic is management, we get to study more of global business. Assignements such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Finances, Accounting and many more. Let me add  that most of the teachers are passionate and experienced since they come from different environments. They explain their jobs well.

Travel as much as you can, cause who knows when you are going to be in France again! But it's also very costly!!! Try to safe as much as possible before you arrive and you'll be able to travel even more.

An exclusive pre-traveling preparation is vital to save time and money. There are plenty of cheap flights and hotels which are accessible through internet.
