My understanding of Dutch improved a lot thanks to my lectures being in Dutch. However, it was difficult to practise my spoken Dutch as the students and locals all wanted to show off their English rather than speak their native Dutch.

There is a strange thing that even the immigration office write documents in Dutch to ask for foeringer to apply for ID!But most people can not understand Dutch£¡moreover, some teacher design the slide or talk with students in Dutch!
