Live in the International House since it is there everyone lives and all the parties are. Bring your own laptop. Be prepared that the housing costs are rather high. No internet acces at home. Food shops closed on Sundays!

I recommend everybody to study abroad if they have the chance to. Meeting other people from other countries, with diferent cultures, different backgrounds teaches you many life-long lessons, gives you more self-confidence of who are you and understand other people's behaviours.

What you put is what you get. Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate School of Business is one of the top 4 MBAs in Europe and one of the best in the World. Is the most international MBA in the world, not having a predominant culture, where you can meet people from all over the world.
Enjoy this experience, learn from the people, learn from the school and learn from your own personal search.

Rotterdam is very well situated within Europe. If you take the Thalys train you can reach Paris in 3 hours, Antwerp in 1.5 hours, Brussels 2hours. Dussendorf in 2, etc.
There are many discounts for students and you have KLM "clikc and go" with great offers.

There are many nice places to visit in the weekends, eg Utrecht and Maastricht.
I was glad that I came to Rotterdam instead of Amsterdam - there are way too many tourists in the Dutch capital.

Dutch people are very stict on rules. Some of those rules don't make much sense to foreign. Just be patient, everything is very efficient if you stay within their paths

If you don't mind daily rain, it is a great place to go on exchange. There are not many place this fan, and I've been in a few. Accademic life is ok, professors are friendly and most of the time helpful. The international office is awesome.

Get ready for a hard-core theory semester with many research papers to read! If you like it more general and applied (practical) then choose antoher university (e.g. St. Gallen, ESADE or HEC). The CEMS programme is tough there and involves exposure to quite a high stress level for most of the semester.

The Dutch students are very nice and open for friendships. It is very easy to find new friends! Unfortunately my programme was so tough that I did not really have much time for social life and traveling.
