My Japanese is definately improved. English stayed pretty much the same but that wasn`t a surprise, it`s native-like anyway.

Why?
My apartment at Lumiere Mamiya was really spacious and nice, but the other ones I saw weren`t so great (other university dormitories of Ryukoku)

Asakusa, Harajuku and Shinjuku in Tokyo are cool. For partying go for Osaka rather than Kyoto.
