The possibilities for getting different independent housing is quite good, so recommende ot shop aruond from home for various option before deciding

Get a visa and a Master card Travel by bus and train, taxa is cheap but you learn more about the city the other way Atend social activities with fellow students Study hard it pays off at the exam, the level is high

It is a good environment to meet people, especially form other countries, because It is a small town, everyone get used to hang out together. In order to attrack more international people they have to sincere the tuition to less cost, and promote closer cities like Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Final comments

I had a great experience living in Minnesota. People is kind, and helpful. Sometimes they are friendly, but not too open. Location is good if you have a car, because it is far out. There are a lot of trips you could go, and affordable (skying, historic and natural places). It is a nice experience.

I picked Saint Mary's becuae they had a course in English ass a second language (DeLasalle Language Institute). While I was there I applied for the graduate program at the univwersity. I learned a lot of idioms, slangs and informal talk as well as grammar and writting.

There were three or four college bars (Brother's, Gabby's, Banger's) and one coffe shop (Acoustic caffe).We usually end up in other towns like Las Crosse,WI and Rochester, MN. The Hockey games friday night at the university were awesome.
