I wish I had known...
The Irish really take their time to organise something, sometimes that really bothered me.

It's great to be in Bostock and when you get home, you really have the 'Bostock blues'.

If you can, take a trip to the coast, it's really beautiful. A trip to Belfast Catsle is also recommendable, or a pick-nick in the park on Falls Road or in the Black Mountains. As for the nightlife: plenty of bars downtown, mostly in the area around Queen's. Ask the local students, they'll love to take you out.

It was not easy in the beginning because of the strong accent they have in Belfast. So I needed a few weeks to find out about that. But after that it was no problem any more and I think I improved my English a lot. I had no major problems with communicating with the local students or other foreign students.

Housing
Type of housing: Bostock, a place where they put away foreigners.
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Bostock
Why?
Despite the overall awfulness of Bostock House, it's great to live together with all the Erasmus students there. You make so many international friends, it's really worth it.

Key words: dirty room, tiny kitchen, no showers (you can use the facilities at St. Mary's). The warden is always looking for a good reason to throw you out and the cleaning ladies get paid too little to bother about cleaning.
